Howl at the Moon · a hometown ad idea

An ad for your Grand Rapids neighbors

A short video that does two things at once: it shows off the Wildflower and everything you offer right here at home — and then, at the very end, invites people to Iceland. The people who’ve already sweated with you are the ones most likely to come.

The full version · about 30 seconds
Part 1 — Home turf the sauna
You say, looking at the camera (like you’re talking to a friend):

“Hi — I’m Alisa, the Sauna Wolf. Since 2023 I’ve been running Howl at the Moon Sauna, right here in Grand Rapids. What started as an old horse trailer is now the Wildflower — a wood-fired mobile sauna that’s welcomed thousands of you at pop-ups, festivals, and backyards all over the Lakeshore. Public sessions, sauna parked in your own driveway, heat for your next event — we’re booking the fall now. However you like your heat, we’ve got a place for you.”

What we’ll show over your voice: you on camera to open, then your real photos — the Wildflower lit up at night, a driveway rental, a pop-up crowd. Warm, real, Michigan.
Part 2 — And one more thing… Iceland
You say:

“And this November, I’m taking an intentionally small group to Iceland — seven days moving between hot springs and cold air, eating well, and letting the week slow all the way down.”

What we’ll show: your Iceland footage — steam off the lake, the lake house, the group around the table. (We already have all of this — nothing new to film here.)
The close
You say, back to the camera with a smile:

“Come find the heat — here at home, or a little further from it.”

Then: your logo and two little doors — Book local heat · Iceland ’26 — and howlatthemoonsaunaco.com.
A shorter 15-second cut
Same idea, faster — for when we want a quick one. You’d say:
You say:

“Hi — I’m Alisa. I run Howl at the Moon Sauna here in Grand Rapids — you’ve maybe sweated in our mobile sauna, the Wildflower. This November I’m doing something special: taking a small group to Iceland. A few rooms are still open.”

All we need from you

One quick video of yourself — that’s really it.

Everything else (your photos, the Iceland footage, the on-screen words, the music, the ending) we put together on our end. The only new thing is you, talking to camera.

📱 Film this on your phone

Selfie camera, good daylight (a window works great). Just read the lines above in your own natural voice — the opening bit and the closing “come find the heat” line. Do a couple of takes so we have options. Hold the phone upright (vertical). That’s the whole ask.

Bonus, only if it’s easy: a few seconds of the Wildflower at your next session — steam, fire, people happy in the heat. Never required; your photos already carry it.

Two quick questions for you

So we word it exactly right

  1. The fall booking line — what are you actually taking bookings for this fall? (Nordic Nights, driveway rentals, private events…?) Tell me and I’ll make “we’re booking the fall now” match precisely.
  2. Where should the local “book” button send people? Your events page, or the community-sauna waitlist? (Iceland will point to your Iceland page.)

That’s the whole idea. If you love it, film your part whenever it’s easy and I’ll build the rest around it — you’ll see the finished video before it goes anywhere. 🐺
